!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

It's unseasonably warm here in the Northeast, so I took the long way home from the eye doctor. I give an R8 a thumbs up at a stop sign, and he waves back. He catches up to me at a stoplight and rolls down the window:

"Nice ricer!"

I laughed at him.

I drive a Miata, and it has wide wheels, fender flares, an exhaust and a roll bar. I'll chalk it up to him being old and misinformed. Still, it bugs me. A RWD roadster is a ricer because it's Japanese? C'mon.

I wasn't going to correct him at the stop light, so I just laughed. I'm having more fun than him anyway.

I managed to mortify the group of friends I was with in NYC by walking past a Granturismo sitting at a stoplight and giving a thumbs up. I think I also said "Nice car." my friends thought I was both dorky and insane, but then the guy floored it for us when he pulled away, so it was all worth it.
